Full Circle: Helping a Military Family Find Their Home and Sell It Three Years Later

Some of my favorite moments in real estate are the ones that come full circle. In 2022, I helped a wonderful military family, Michael and Kristen, PCS to Virginia and find the home they would settle into at 204 Prince George Ave in Hopewell. On July 31, 2026, I had the honor of standing with them at the closing table as they sold that same home, ready to begin their next adventure in Colorado. Helping a family through both sides of a move, the arrival and the departure, is exactly the kind of work I love.

The house itself is a comfortable 3-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom home around 2,259 square feet on Prince George Avenue in Hopewell. It sits in the kind of close-knit neighborhood that feels like family, the sort of street where neighbors wave and look out for one another. For Michael and Kristen, it was the perfect place to call home while they served at Fort Gregg-Adams.

That house gave them three really good years. It gave them a community that felt like family and a place to rest and recharge while they served our country. There is something meaningful about watching a house become a home, and then knowing the care they poured into it will carry forward. Now another family gets the chance to make their own memories there, and that is a beautiful thing.

When it came time to sell, the sale closed at $276,000. It was a smooth transaction, the kind where the years of memories made the listing feel less like a property and more like a story. We worked together to get the home ready, found the right buyer, and closed on time so they could stay focused on the road ahead.

The military relocation angle is close to my heart. Being there for every chapter matters, from the timelines to the stress to the very real urgency of a PCS.
